Click here to see the letter.  I thought that you all might want to have a read so you can let me know what you think!

The movie is created by Alexandra Moskalenko and premiered in 2008.

"Tea Time tells the story of the Blackheath Tea Hut.  It explores the day to day life of the Tea Hut for an entire year and paints the portrait of some of its customers. Viewers will encounter - amongst others - the regulars, a policeman, a Catholic sister, one or two foxes and a few quirky nocturnal characters."

As everyone can see the Tea Hut now has no legal parking for customers during the hours of daylight.

Should this be allowed ?

For the past eleven years Lewisham Council have been happily taking business rates from me as well as the previous owner several years before that, all based on a takeaway premises, in the middle of the Heath.

How do they expect me to make a living and keep paying rates with no parking facilities and diminished customers.

Did you know that during an upgrade of Goffers Road in or around 2001, Lewisham Highways introduced three lay-bys into Goffers Rd, then mysteriously only two months later the two nearest the Tea Hut were closed off and then filled in?

On the 13th May 2009 I asked Lewisham Council for the reasons why these two lay-bys were disposed of.....To date (26th June 2009) I still have had no reply. Indeed not even the courtesy of an acknowledgment of my inquiry.

Why no reply ???

The worst case scenario and MY THEORY as well as that of others, is that they were done away with deliberately, to further demise the parking facilities for the Tea Hut customers.

Thus denying a place for weary travellers to rest a while and refresh themselves with a nice cup of tea, before their onward journey, as they have done for decades.

I think most people may have an idea about is one. Surely this local Society are responsible for supporting all aspects of the history of the heath, so the 85 odd years of the Tea Hut should count for something.

History is great but even that has to sometimes move with the times.
